Brisbane - ANZAC DAY 2016

NgocAnhLe: ANZAC DAY is the day that Australia commemorates wounded and died soldiers involving in wars including the war in Vietnam. Indeed, on the basis of every 25th of April, at the dawn, thousands of people across Australia, being guided by conscience, together gathered in front of war memorials to remember the sacrificed soldiers for the survival of the country. This memorial rite is also known in English as the Dawn Service.

ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) was the Australian and New Zealand troops, had to stand bravely fighting in the Battle of Gallipoli in 1915. In a short time, the reputation of this army quickly spread far; soldiers of this army became a symbol of resilience fighting spirit and the ethnic pride of Australia transmitted until today.

Looking Australian children holding flags while attending a memorial service as well as respectfully placing flowers in front of the war memorial, I understand that the spirit of this emotion happening to children in a very natural way because they have been educated from long-time about the stories of ANZAC DAY being told in school. They demanded to attend to this event at any price because they want to be experienced on the reality.

Lest we forget! ANZAC DAY is the most important holidays of the country. The esprit of this day is meaningful not only for veterans and their families, but also now for the whole Australian nation, especially for the youth.

Like everywhere across Australia, this year 2016, in Brisbane, capital of Queensland, the government has held on ANZAC DAY with meaningful activities.
