NgocAnhLe: The Mother’s Day Classic fun run and walk, an annual tradition, provides a great way to celebrate the Mother’s Day and raise funds for breast cancer research to the community.
This event was established in 1998 by Women in Super. From beginning, the Mother's Day Classic fun run and walk for breast cancer research in Melbourne and Sydney attracted approximately 3,200 people. Now it has become an integral part of Mother's Day with approximately more than 125,000 Australians who enjoy getting up early in the morning to fun run and walk and raise money for breast cancer research. Moreover this event has become also a morning of entertainment activity for the community of different social elements in the country and for anyone who enjoys sharing activity on Mother's Day morning.
So this year, at Brisbane, capital of Queensland, this event involves a 4.5km and 8km walk and run, starting and finishing at the Cultural Forecourt, the Parklands South Bank. Following is a series of images of the event taking place in the beautiful surrounds of South Bank Brisbane on 11 May 2014.
